Waze has announced a new Motorcycle Mode designed specifically for riders, with the Philippines included among the first countries to receive the update, YugaTech reported. The navigation app's latest feature aims to improve safety and routing for motorcycle users.

Motorcycle Mode offers tailored routes that favor roads more suitable for two-wheelers, such as avoiding highways where motorcycles are restricted. It also provides estimated time of arrival adjustments based on typical motorcycle speeds and alerts for hazards like potholes or slippery roads. Waze said the mode was developed with feedback from riders in several pilot countries.

The Philippines' inclusion as an early market reflects the country's high motorcycle usage, particularly for commuting and delivery services. Waze, owned by Google, continues to roll out region-specific features to better serve local transportation needs.
