ABOITIZ INFRACAPITAL, Inc. (AIC) has tapped Petron Corp. to design, build, and operate a dedicated jet fuel depot at Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA), according to a statement from the company over the weekend reported by BusinessWorld.
AIC's unit, Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corp. (ABAC), signed the agreement with Petron covering the design, construction, and operation of the fuel facility. The project aims to ensure a reliable and efficient fuel supply for BPIA, which has seen increasing air traffic since its opening.
The partnership underscores Aboitiz's commitment to enhancing airport infrastructure in the region and is expected to support tourism and economic growth in Bohol. Petron, the country's largest oil refiner, brings its expertise in fuel logistics to the venture.
