Senator Francis Pancratius “Kiko” N. Pangilinan renewed his push for the Anti-Ticket Scalping Bill after reports of Korean boy group concert tickets being resold for P30,000 to P90,000. In a statement reported by BusinessWorld, Pangilinan raised concerns over “exorbitant” prices in the digital marketplace.

The bill aims to regulate online ticket reselling and impose penalties on scalpers who exploit fans. The senator cited the need for stronger consumer protection as concertgoers face inflated prices from automated bots and bulk buyers.

The legislative push comes amid growing public frustration over ticketing practices. Pangilinan urged his colleagues to prioritize the measure to safeguard consumers from unfair resale prices.
