BDO Unibank Inc. raised P132 billion from its sixth peso-denominated ASEAN Sustainability Bonds issuance, exceeding its original target by more than 26 times, as reported by Philstar Biz.

The bonds, which were offered to both institutional and retail investors, will be used to finance or refinance eligible green and social projects under BDO’s Sustainable Finance Framework. The overwhelming demand reflects growing investor confidence in the bank’s sustainability initiatives and the broader Philippine bond market.

BDO’s latest issuance is part of a series of sustainable debt offerings that have helped the bank channel capital toward environmentally and socially beneficial projects. The strong uptake signals sustained appetite for ESG-linked instruments among local and foreign investors alike.
