Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has signed a partnership with Fujian province’s Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, according to a report from BusinessWorld.
Aboitiz InfraCapital Airports Chief Executive Officer Athanasios Titonis said the partnership aims to strengthen connectivity between Cebu and China, highlighting the long-standing trade, cultural, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The agreement is expected to boost tourism and business travel between the Visayas region and southern China, supporting MCIA’s strategy to expand its international route network beyond traditional hubs.
