CK Hutchison Holdings, the parent company of health and beauty retailer AS Watson, is reportedly exploring the sale of its European cosmetics chain Marionnaud, according to Inside Retail Asia. The conglomerate emphasized that Marionnaud will continue normal day-to-day operations with no immediate changes.

Marionnaud, a major perfume and cosmetics retailer in Europe, was acquired by AS Watson in 2005. The chain operates hundreds of stores across France, Switzerland, Italy, and other markets, competing with rivals like Sephora and Douglas.

The potential sale comes as CK Hutchison continues to streamline its retail portfolio. AS Watson, which also owns Superdrug, The Perfume Shop, and Watsons stores across Asia, has been focusing on digital transformation and supply chain efficiency amid shifting consumer habits. No potential buyers have been named.
