De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) on Monday shifted to asynchronous classes and heightened campus security following an alleged mass shooting threat posted online, the university announced in a statement reported by BusinessWorld.
“We are aware of information recently circulating regarding campus security; our personnel are on heightened alert, with additional officers strategically deployed across the campus,” the university said. The measure affects all academic activities, with classes conducted remotely until further notice.
Local authorities have been informed and are coordinating with the school’s security team. DLSL urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, while investigations into the origin of the threat are ongoing.
