Nearly 1,500 farmers in Bugallon, Pangasinan will have year-round irrigation once the Dumuloc Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP) is completed, according to a report by BusinessWorld. Top officials of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) inspected the progress of the project, which is expected to provide a stable water supply to about 1,632 hectares of farmland across nine villages.

The Dumuloc SRIP will benefit 1,484 farmers by ensuring a reliable water source for both wet and dry season crops. The project is part of the government's efforts to boost agricultural productivity in the region, reducing dependence on rain-fed irrigation.

Once completed, the dam will serve as a critical infrastructure for the agrarian communities in Bugallon, potentially increasing crop yields and improving livelihoods. The NIA continues to monitor construction to ensure timely delivery of the project.
