The Philstar Biz reported that five information technology parks are now seeking accreditation from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) following the lifting of a moratorium on IT ecozone applications in Metro Manila.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier removed the suspension that had halted new IT ecozone registrations in the capital region. The Department of Trade and Industry expects the move to accelerate investment and job creation in the sector.

The five parks undergoing PEZA accreditation are expected to offer incentives such as tax holidays and duty-free importation to locators, reinforcing the government's push to boost the country's IT-BPM industry.
