Mynt, the fintech company behind the popular mobile wallet GCash, has authorized the filing of a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering on the Philippine Stock Exchange, according to a report by YugaTech.

The move marks a significant step for Mynt, which operates one of the Philippines' largest mobile payment platforms. The IPO is expected to raise capital to fund further expansion and product development, though the company has not yet disclosed the number of shares or target price.

GCash has grown rapidly, offering services from payments and transfers to loans and investments. The listing would provide a liquidity event for investors and could boost the local stock exchange’s tech sector.
