Google has officially announced Googlebook, a new laptop category designed from the ground up with Gemini Intelligence at its core. The announcement, reported by TechPinas , marks a strategic shift from traditional operating systems to an "intelligence system" where AI drives contextual assistance, proactive suggestions, and personalized workflows. Alexander Kuscher, Google's Senior Director for Laptops & Tablets, framed the move as a response to modern computing needs.

Unlike conventional laptops that layer AI features through apps or updates, Googlebook integrates Gemini natively to deliver a cohesive AI experience. The devices also blend elements of ChromeOS with the Android tech stack, enabling smoother interactions between laptops and smartphones. This synergy allows users to transition between devices more naturally and efficiently.

Google is collaborating with major laptop brands including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo to produce premium Googlebook devices. These laptops will feature refined craftsmanship, modern designs, and signature elements like the new Glowbar. Over 15 years after introducing Chromebooks, Google now positions Googlebook as its next major leap in personal computing.
