The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said it expects to keep declaring grid alerts until August, based on the restoration timetable for power plants that experienced forced outages, according to BusinessWorld.
The situation is aggravated in the Visayas by large power plants that are offline. While one out of four plants is expected to return online soon, the remaining three will take longer, prolonging the grid alert status.
NGCP continues to monitor the power supply situation and will declare alerts as necessary until the plants are restored to full operation.
