IKEA Philippines has announced plans to open its first store in the Visayas region by December 2026, according to a report by ABS-CBN. The expansion marks the Swedish furniture giant's continued growth in the country, following its flagship store in Pasay City and a planned branch in the Philippines' northern region.

The new store will be located in Cebu, a major economic hub in the Visayas, and is expected to serve customers from across the central Philippines. IKEA Philippines cited strong demand for affordable and stylish home furnishings in the region as a key driver for the expansion.

This move aligns with the company's strategy to increase its physical retail presence in key areas outside Metro Manila, aiming to make its products more accessible to a broader Filipino customer base. IKEA's entry into the Visayas is seen as a boost to local retail and employment.
