IKEA is expanding its footprint in the Philippines with its first store in the Visayas, located at Ayala Malls Gatewalk in Mandaue City, as reported by The Manila Times. The new outlet marks a significant step in the Swedish furniture giant's strategy to reach more customers outside Metro Manila.

IKEA currently operates a flagship store in Pasay City and has been expanding its online presence nationwide. The Mandaue City location will be its third physical store in the Philippines, following earlier openings in Pasay and a planned store in the Visayas region.

Ayala Malls Gatewalk, a new development in Mandaue City, will host the IKEA store, which is expected to boost local retail activity and provide easier access to affordable home furnishings for residents in the Visayas and nearby islands.
