The Philippine manufacturing sector sustained its expansion in June, according to a report by Philstar Biz. The index remained above the 50-point threshold that separates growth from contraction, driven by steady improvements in both demand and production.

June data showed that output and new orders continued to grow, with domestic demand providing the main support. However, the pace of expansion appeared to moderate compared to previous months, reflecting cautious market conditions.

Despite the overall positive reading, manufacturers’ confidence dipped to its lowest point in five months. Firms cited uncertainty over global economic trends and cost pressures as factors weighing on their outlook for the coming year.
