UK clothing and food retailer Marks & Spencer is returning to the Philippines under the franchise of Indonesian retail group Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP), with a Glorietta store targeted for completion by the end of 2026, according to a report by Bilyonaryo Business News.
MAP, a leading retail operator in Southeast Asia, already manages brands such as Starbucks and Zara in Indonesia and has been expanding its presence in the Philippines. The company signed a master franchise agreement for Marks & Spencer in the country, bringing back the British brand that exited the local market several years ago.
The planned Glorietta outlet is expected to offer Marks & Spencer’s signature clothing and food lines, catering to Filipino shoppers who have long awaited its return. The store opening aligns with MAP’s regional growth strategy for the brand.
