METRO PACIFIC Water (MPW), a subsidiary of Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Investments Corp., has begun repair works and clearing critical pipelines in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, following the exit of PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp., BusinessWorld reported on Thursday.

In a statement, MPW said it addressed infrastructure problems that had been affecting water service in the area. The initial phase of work improved water supply for more than 3,500 households, with further repairs planned to restore full capacity across the city.

The move comes after PrimeWater’s concession ended, prompting MPW to step in and ensure uninterrupted service. MPW operates water and wastewater utilities across the Philippines and is part of the Metro Pacific group that includes Maynilad and other infrastructure businesses.
