Philippine shares declined on Tuesday, with last-minute selling dragging the benchmark index lower amid lingering geopolitical concerns and a cautious outlook on corporate earnings, BusinessWorld reported.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dropped 0.17% or 10.87 points to close at 6,304.03, while the broader all shares index fell 0.24% or 8.33 points to end at 3,427.04.

Traders attributed the downturn to jitters over geopolitical developments and uncertainty about upcoming corporate earnings reports, which prompted investors to sell off positions near the close.
