Tourism Undersecretary Verna Esmeralda C. Buensuceso said the fighting in the Middle East has affected tourism by diverting travel away from the region and toward destinations within Asia and the Pacific. The shift has helped sustain demand for Philippine tourism services even as global uncertainties persist.
