PNB Securities Inc. has partnered with Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corp. to expand its unit investment trust fund (UITF) offerings, as demand for professionally managed investment products continues to grow among Filipino investors, Philstar Biz reported.
Under the partnership, PNB Securities will offer Manulife-branded UITFs to its clients, providing access to a broader range of investment strategies and asset classes. The move aims to cater to retail and high-net-worth investors seeking diversified portfolios managed by a global asset manager.
The expansion comes as the Philippine investment landscape sees increased interest in pooled funds, which offer lower barriers to entry and professional management compared to direct stock or bond investing. PNB Securities and Manulife expect the new UITF offerings to be available in the coming months.
