The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) extended its decline on Thursday as investors took a cautious stance before the release of the latest Philippine gross domestic product (GDP) data, according to BusinessWorld.

The main index slipped by 0.13%, or 8.36 points, to close at 6,277.95, while the broader all shares index edged up by 0.02% on the same trading day.

Market participants appeared to hold back ahead of the government's GDP report, reflecting a wait-and-see sentiment amid concerns over the economy's growth trajectory.
