Sony has announced the Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II, two new television models that feature the company's proprietary True RGB backlight technology. According to a report by YugaTech , the new displays aim to deliver improved color accuracy and brightness compared to conventional LED-LCD panels.
The True RGB backlight system uses separate red, green, and blue LEDs instead of a single white LED source, allowing for more precise control over color reproduction and contrast. This approach is said to reduce light bleed and enhance HDR performance.
The Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II are expected to compete in the premium TV segment, offering advanced picture processing and smart TV features. Sony has not yet announced pricing or availability for the Philippine market.
