Sony has officially unveiled the RX10 V, its first bridge camera in nine years since the RX10 IV, according to YugaTech.
The new camera retains the 1-inch 20.1-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor and the ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm f/2.4-4 zoom lens from its predecessor. It features an upgraded BIONZ X image processor and a new front-end LSI for faster autofocus and continuous shooting at up to 24 frames per second with full AF/AE tracking.
Sony has not yet announced pricing or availability for the RX10 V. The camera is expected to appeal to enthusiasts and professionals seeking an all-in-one zoom solution with high-speed performance.
