The combined wealth of the Philippines’ 50 richest tycoons fell 8% to $79 billion from $86 billion a year earlier, according to the 2026 Forbes Asia Philippines’ 50 Richest list, as reported by BusinessWorld.

Forbes Asia said in a news release that only 14 listees were better off from a year earlier, indicating a broad decline in fortunes. The annual ranking tracks the net worth of the country’s wealthiest individuals and families based on shareholdings, assets, and other holdings.

The drop mirrors challenges faced by Philippine conglomerates, including currency volatility and slowing consumer demand. Despite the overall decline, the list continues to reflect the dominance of established tycoons in property, banking, retail, and infrastructure sectors.
