The National Development Co. (NDC) said it allocated an additional P140 million in funding for the expansion of the World Trade Center (WTC) Metro Manila property in Pasay City, according to a statement reported by BusinessWorld.

The P140-million additional equity investment was released to Manila Exposition Complex, Inc. (MECI), the company that owns the World Trade Center. The expansion project is estimated to cost P3 billion and aims to enhance the facility's capacity for hosting trade events and exhibitions.

NDC's funding commitment underscores the government's support for boosting the country's trade infrastructure. The expanded World Trade Center is expected to attract more international events and contribute to economic growth.
