World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) said it is investing P3 billion to expand its exhibition facility in Pasay City, adding 20,000 square meters of space by 2028. The announcement was made by WTCMM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Pamela D. Pascual, as reported by BusinessWorld.
The expansion is intended to boost the Philippines' exhibitions and events industry, which has been recovering from pandemic disruptions. The new space will allow WTCMM to host larger international trade shows and conferences, potentially attracting more foreign exhibitors and visitors.
The project comes as the Philippine government pushes for the revival of business tourism and the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. WTCMM's investment aligns with efforts to position Metro Manila as a competitive hub for global events.
