Cabinet Secretary Benjamin D. Abalos, Jr. offered to mediate between businesses and government agencies to advance the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) law, according to a report by BusinessWorld.
During a meeting with a delegation representing the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc., and the Philippine Stock Exchange Council of Leaders, Mr. Abalos said he is available to help resolve issues that hinder the law's rollout.
The EoDB law aims to streamline government processes and reduce red tape. Mr. Abalos' mediation offer comes as the private sector pushes for faster adoption of reforms to improve the country's business climate.
