The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has designated the Philippines as a potential recipient of a proposed regional technical assistance project aimed at boosting artificial intelligence (AI) readiness, according to a report by BusinessWorld.

The project, titled Advancing Artificial Intelligence Readiness through Infrastructure, Solutions, and Enabling Skills, will cover 12 economies. Its objectives include strengthening AI infrastructure, accelerating AI adoption, and building relevant skills in the region.

The Philippines' inclusion in the initiative reflects the ADB's recognition of the country's potential to leverage AI for economic growth and development, pending final approval of the technical assistance package.
