BLOCSHOALS Technologies, Inc., which operates Binance as a crypto-asset intermediary under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Strategic Regulatory Sandbox (StratBox), is targeting a launch within the year after completing regulatory requirements, according to company officials as reported by BusinessWorld.

The company is currently onboarding a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-licensed virtual asset service provider (VASP) to enable fiat-to-cryptocurrency transactions. Regulatory compliance remains a key step before the pilot can proceed.

The StratBox program allows fintech firms to test innovative financial products under relaxed regulatory conditions. If successful, the Binance pilot could expand crypto adoption in the Philippines while ensuring consumer protection.
