The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) said it expects to update the projections in its information technology-business process management industry roadmap, citing the rapid pace of change due to artificial intelligence (AI). BusinessWorld reported.
The roadmap, which sets growth targets for the industry, is being revisited as AI and automation reshape the business process outsourcing landscape. IBPAP officials noted that technological disruption could affect employment and revenue projections, requiring adjustments to ensure the industry remains competitive.
The review aims to align the industry's strategies with the latest technological developments. IBPAP expects to release the updated roadmap later this year, incorporating new data on AI adoption and its impact on the IT-BPM sector.
