President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. said on Tuesday that his administration will expand school safety, literacy, and cash-for-work programs nationwide, according to BusinessWorld .
Speaking during a Brigada Eskwela inspection at Kapitbahayan Elementary School in Navotas City, Mr. Marcos said the government is rolling out security upgrades, including closed-circuit television cameras, as part of the efforts to ensure safe learning environments.
The expanded programs aim to improve literacy rates and provide cash-for-work opportunities for families, with the initiatives set to be implemented ahead of the June 8 opening of classes.
