NEW NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the private operator of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, said no injuries resulted from an aircraft incident on Tuesday involving a Saudia flight and a Philippine Airlines (PAL) plane. According to BusinessWorld, all passengers aboard the departing Saudia aircraft were safely disembarked, and both aircraft are undergoing technical assessment.

The NNIC statement confirmed that both aircraft sustained damage, though no airport infrastructure or ground equipment was affected. The company did not specify the nature of the collision or the extent of the damage, but assured that an investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the incident.

The incident temporarily disrupted operations at NAIA, though full details on flight delays or cancellations have yet to be released. The NNIC has not provided a timeline for the completion of the investigation or the resumption of normal operations.
