BusinessWorld reported that Rockwell Land Corp. has started the long-term redevelopment of Alabang Town Center, focusing first on traffic flow, parking capacity and tenant mix as it moves to reposition the 17.5-hectare property into a suburban lifestyle hub over the next decade.

The redevelopment follows Rockwell’s acquisition of a 74.8% stake in the mall in 2025. The company aims to transform the aging retail complex into a modern mixed-use destination, competing with newer suburban developments in the southern Metro Manila area.

The phased upgrade is expected to take up to a decade, with initial improvements to infrastructure and tenant offerings. Rockwell has not disclosed specific investment figures but said the project aligns with its strategy of developing integrated lifestyle communities outside Makati and Bonifacio Global City.
