THE Embassy of Korea in the Philippines reaffirmed its support for the Mindanao Peace Process, with Ambassador Lee Sang-hwa paying a visit to Cotabato City to discuss peacebuilding cooperation with the Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua, as reported by BusinessWorld .

In a press statement on Tuesday, the Korean Embassy said the two leaders also discussed initiatives on socio-economic development and capacity-building programs for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The visit underscores Seoul's continued commitment to supporting peace and stability in the southern Philippines.

The engagement comes as BARMM transitions toward its first regularly elected government, with South Korea positioning itself as a key development partner alongside other international donors.
