Typhoon Jangmi has displaced over 85,000 people in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said, as reported by BusinessWorld . The NDRRMC on Monday said 85,295 individuals or 17,059 families were affected across 37 barangays in the region.

All displaced individuals were reported in BARMM, with no other regions affected as of the latest update. The typhoon, locally named Domeng, brought heavy rains and strong winds, prompting evacuations in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

The NDRRMC continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction offices for relief and response efforts. The agency advised residents in affected areas to remain alert for possible landslides and flash floods.
