Typhoon Jangmi (locally known as Domeng) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, but it continues to enhance the southwest monsoon, according to the state weather bureau. BusinessWorld reported that the typhoon will bring heavy rains over the eastern section of the country in the coming days.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Jangmi exited PAR at 11:30 a.m. Despite leaving the region, the typhoon's trough is still enhancing the southwest monsoon, which will cause moderate to heavy rainfall over parts of Luzon and the Visayas.
PAGASA advised residents in affected areas to remain vigilant for possible flash floods and landslides due to the expected rains. The typhoon was last spotted 1,200 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, heading toward Japan.
