The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Philippines has partnered with the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) to advance the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) law and the Universal Healthcare Coverage (UHC), as reported by BusinessWorld .

UNFPA country representative Neus Bernabeu described PhilHealth as an indispensable partner for making universal healthcare a reality in the country. The collaboration aims to strengthen the implementation of the RPRH law, which ensures access to reproductive health services, and to support the goals of the UHC law.

The partnership is expected to improve health outcomes for Filipinos by integrating reproductive health services into the national health insurance framework, expanding coverage and access to essential health services nationwide.
