Thousands of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in Nueva Vizcaya received P8 million in financial assistance and 3,500 sacks of rice under the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration's (OWWA) OFW Serbisyo Caravan, BusinessWorld reported.

The caravan, held in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, was capped by an honorary dinner at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center. The aid package is part of OWWA's broader effort to support OFWs and their dependents affected by economic challenges.

Local officials expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that many OFW families in the province rely on remittances for daily needs. OWWA said similar caravans will be conducted in other regions to ensure wider reach.
