The US International Development Finance Corp. (DFC) is exploring financing opportunities in the Philippines focusing on transportation infrastructure and grid modernization, according to BusinessWorld.
The DFC said it heard about the government’s priorities from various stakeholders, including the Maharlika Investment Corp., the National Security Council, and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, with a focus on major infrastructure projects.
The exploration signals continued US interest in Philippine infrastructure development, potentially providing financing for projects that could enhance the country’s power grid and transportation networks.
